Those galaxies are very intensely radiating ultraviolet light. in some cases x-rays. this telescope is not tuned for ultraviolet. because, of the 13 1/2 billion years, that the light has been traveling, the universe has been expanding. that expansion has stretched the wavelength of the light. transformed it from ultraviolet into infrared. the longer wavelength light. this is a telescope that is capturing light as it comes to us. not as it was first emitted. this part of the brilliance and the concept of how and why this telescope works and why we expected to basically transform our understanding of the universe. president biden will release on the first images later today. nasa will live stream that at 5 pm eastern in 10 pm in london. ....
