Lincoln Courier Lincoln Police reported that a Lincoln man is dead after being shot by his wife. Jack Yates, 77, of 1418 N. Ottawa St., was pronounced dead after Lincoln Police were called to a domestic dispute early Tuesday morning. Kathleen Yates, 67, was taken into custody after being accused of shooting her husband and charged with a first degree homicide, a Class X Felony. Lincoln Police Units were called by Kathleen Yates telling the dispatcher she had shot her husband in the chest.
