Mccarthy is live and christine, a lot of dangerous conditions out there tonight. There sure were. By this point a lot of the water has receded. In fact, were seeing the roads behind us right here almost completely dry. Still some puddles right in this intersection you see right here at william and stevens street just half an hour ago there was a car that was stranded here even as the water had receded. Thats now been towed away. Take a look at this video though that we shot earlier when the water higher. Some drivers taking the risk and plowing through the water, others becoming stuck and having to ditch their cars. Police have put out an advisory on social media, they were warning residents and drivers to stay inside, to stay off the roads. Underwater and its not going anywhere trapped in the floodwaters. John and in nashua, new hampshire, this picture shows the dangerous flooding in a home depot parking lot. Water creeping up, a Flash Flood Warning is in effect for many areas, including downtown boston. Lets begin our coverage with chief meteorologist Jeremy Reiner. Jeremy okay, john. We have that Flash Flood Warning in the city as well as suffolk county, essex county and up through rockingham county. Thankfully, worcester out of the flash f their warning just expired a few moments ago. The worst of it now confined to the coastline, but look at these rainfall totals from earlier this evening. And keep in mind, too, that this all happened within one to three hours. Thats a lot of rain. Even in a drought, it can be too much of a good thing. See from behind rain making some streets there was one driver in worcester who even had to climb up on the top of carcass water levels kept rising. We take a closer look. I see there too much. I try reverse my car shut off. My car fill up with weather. I was thinking it was going to drain out. But i am thinking drive it to tomorrow. He stood on top his car to get out stripping down to his underwear after being drenched. Not far away bridge down cambridge street was filled water six feet high. Shocking. Shocking. My husband has the scanner on all over the city. It is like this they said. Roads all over the city impassible because of the flash floods. City officials in worcester are warning people to stay off of the roads. Saying that
