Facebook uncovered emails in the process of responding to a federal privacy investigation, raising concerns that they would be harmful to the company if they became public. The journal says that is part of the reason why the company salt sought a quick settlement. Here in me in san francisco, our bloomberg tech executive editor, so, tom, explained this to me here.
