A team of MIT mechanical engineering graduate students has designed and built an assembly factory for a desktop fiber extrusion system entirely within an MIT lab, making their project one of the few factories operating at a university. The system will be shared as part of a collaboration with Tecnológico de Monterrey in Mexico.
