A local running and race coordinating shop 4RUN3 abruptly shut down last month. Area organizations claim the East Longmeadow business still owes them collectively thousands of dollars.

Five charities say they are out $30,000 in race registration and donation money collected by 4Run3 and have gone to court to claw back anything they can.

Earlier this month, the owners of 4RUN3 based out of East Longmeadow announced they are bankrupt. The business managed many races across western Mass, including the Jack Rome Memorial 5K, which was sponsored by Western Mass News and benefitted our station charity, the foundation for TJO animals.
