Somebody, anybody in the community. reporter: there are still more than 170 people missing but officials say they expect that number to change dramatically later today, largely because power has finally been restored to the city of darrington east of the landslide, improving communication. john and marci. thank you. now to the missing malaysian airlines jet. the weather improved and the search is on again. a dozen planes and two ships from six countries are combing a huge area in the south indian ocean. it is a remote area. more than 1500 miles from australia and the search is complicated by the strong ocean currents which move 30 to 60 miles a day. you ve heard about the gulf stream. this is ten times the size of the gulf stream. because it s much wider and deeper. various floating objects have been spotted in the search area, but nothing has been retrieved. the lack of physical evidence and confirmation of a crash is frustrating the families of passengers. ....

They are trucking the salmon closer to the pacific ocean. a lack of rain means rivers will be too shallow and warm for many of the fish to survive the trip on their own. so tankers hauling about 30 million young salmon hundreds of miles closer to the open sea. the price of limes skyrocketing and supply dwindles in new mexico. that supply has been linked to crop damage as well as deliberate efforts by growers to boost the cost. california is the hardest hit. a case of limes that usually cost $14 has soared as much as $100. bad news for margarita lovers. i was thinking the same thing. on the east coast it s looking like january again with blizzard warnings up for cape cod and main map. with temperatures in the northeast, let s check in with accuweather s jim dickey. good morning, jim. good morning, john and marci. absolute monster storm system sitting off the coast of new england. we don t see the full impacts from it. ....
