Pickett drove his machine from Wisconsin to Opelousas. Many were delighted to see it; others were afraid of the horseless carriage. But it wasn’t long before some in town wanted to own one. Soon Bea Boagni and Andrew “Jack” Moresi each had one. By 1909 Opelousas had an automobile business when H.E.
