[여성종합뉴스/이경문 기자] 중구는 정부의 2.4 부동산 대책인 공공주도 주택공급 사업 추진을 위해 서울시 자치구 최초로 지난 7월 20일 '중구 주택공급 현장지원센터'를 개소하였다고 밝혔다.

국토부는 2.4 부동산 대책을 통해 2025년까지 서울, 수도권을 중심으로 한 대도시권에 양질의 부담 가능한 신규 주택을 공급하고자 세부 추진 사업을 발표하였다.

구는 개발 지연으로 노후화된 주거환경을 개선하고, 신규 주택 공급을 유도하고자 하는 정부 정책을 주민에게 이해하기 쉽게 소개하고, 주민의 사업 참여율을 높여 사업 추진의 동력을 확보하기 위해 올 3월부터 센터 개소를 준비해왔다.

'중구 주택공급 현장지원센터'는 현장 소통 기능을 강화하기 위해 구민의 70%가 거주하고 있는 신당·황학 생활권 내 충무아트센터(퇴계로 387) 1층에 자리 잡았다.

센터의 주요 업무는 ▲ 정부 부동산 정책과 연계한 우리 구 지역 맞춤형 종합 대응전략 마련 ▲ 역세권, 소규모 주택정비 관리 지역 및 주요 전략지 선도사업 (도심 공공주택 복합사업 등) 역점적 추진 ▲ 사업 추진을 위한 주민 참여 동의, 홍보 및 상담, 설명회 등 주민에게 먼저 다가가는 현장 소통 업무를 수행할 예정이다. 이외에도 ▲ 집수리를 희망하는 주민들을 위한 가꿈주택 상담 및 융자지원 등 주거복지 기능도 함께 지원하고자 한다.

그 결과, 지난 4월 신당 5동 신당역 남측 일대가 국토부가 선정하는 소규모 주택정비 관리 지역 선도사업 후보지로 선정됐으며, 이달 4일 신당동 346번지 일대가 도심 공공주택 복합사업 후보지로 선정되었다.

이번에 후보지로 선정된 신당동 346번지 일대는 2006년 이후 주민들의 개발 요구가 집중되었던 지역이었으나, 응봉근린공원 관련 개발규제로 민간 개발이 중단되었던 곳이다. 이번 한시적 특별법을 기회로 이 일대 급경사지 다세대 밀집 지역의 열악한 거주환경을 개선할 수 있게 되었다.

서양호 구청장은 "중구 주택공급 현장지원센터는 우리 구 지역 현안에 맞는 맞춤형 사업지 제안을 위해 보다 전문적인 상담과 대응전략을 마련할 것"이라며 "주민 신뢰 아래 주민과 함께하는 지역 발전의 기회로 만들도록 노력하겠다."고 전했다.
