Bengaluru: On Friday, former minister Ramesh Jarkiholi, citing health reasons, did not appear before the Special Investigation team probing the sexual harassment case against him.
The Gokak MLA deputed his counsel with a letter to the Investigating Officer, stating that he was not keeping well and requested further time till he recovered.
Jarkiholi, who was water resources minister in the chief minister B.S. Yediyurappa-led cabinet, had resigned on March 3, a day after news channels aired videos of the alleged sex scandal.

Sex tape case: 6 Karnataka ministers move court to restrain media
As many as six Karnataka ministers have moved a Bangaluru court seeking to restrain media organisations from publishing or airing any “defamatory or unauthenticated” material against them. The six ministers of Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa-led government who moved the court Friday include Labour Minister Shivaram Hebbar, Agriculture Minister BC Patil, Cooperative Minister ST Somashekar and Health, Family Welfare and Medical Education Minister K Sudhakar.
The two others are Youth Empowerment and Sports Minister KC Narayana Gowda and Urban Development Minister Bhyrathi Basavaraj.
After hearing their joint plea, the additional city civil sessions judge reserved his order which is expected to be delivered on Saturday.

Karnataka's water resources minister Ramesh Jarkiholi landed himself in hot waters after a leaked video allegedly showed the BJP leader seeking sexual favours from a woman in return for a government job. The shocking revelation came only days ahead of the Budget session and an activist from Bengaluru has requested a probe in the matter.
The victim had recorded the alleged incidents, which had been circulating on social media. Upon allegedly receiving threats from the minister, the victim's family approached Dinesh Kallahalli, who then submitted the recordings with the police and sought a probe.
