Bashar al assad used chemical weapons on his own people. We heard from the top diplomat in this country, the secretary of state john kerry saying specifically, 1,429. That was the new number today. Thats the number of People Killed in that attack on august 21st of this year. Hundreds of them children. Reason enough, according to secretary kerry, for the United States to do something about it. The American People are tired of war. Believe me, i am, too. But fatigue does not absolve us of our responsibility. Just longing for peace does not necessarily bring it about.
