A heartfelt farewell to 19 educators from Amherst County Public Schools who are retiring or who have retired in the past year was held during a May 20 dinner at Sweet Briar College.
Cellphones were put away and laughter filled the Madison Heights Community Center as children, parents and educators played a mix of games following a Jan. 25 community dinner.
