At a rally to remember those killed in the MOVE bombing in 1985, many people gathered in support of Mumia Abu-Jamal, imprisoned for killing a Philadelphia police officer.
Three women whose children were killed in the MOVE bombing 36 years ago find no solace in the city’s discovery of human remains that were declared destroyed earlier in the week.
In fact, the women expressed varying levels of outrage, incredulity, and bitterness in interviews at Cobbs Creek Park in West Philadelphia on Saturday during a rally commemorating the event: ....

Pa. Supreme Court rules that Philly DA Krasner can continue handling Mumia Abu-Jamal appeals


Judge John Cleland, who was appointed to serve as a special master in the case, wrote that Faulkner failed to establish the existence of a direct conflict of interest or an appearance of impropriety that would prevent the District Attorney s Office from handling such appeals, according to court documents.
Justices Kevin Dougherty, David Wecht, and Christine Donohue agreed with Cleland s findings, though in the concurring statement dismissing Faulkner s petition, Dougherty wrote that Faulkner had exposed several grave and alarming allegations concerning District Attorney Krasner and his office’s ability to act impartially in this case.
