Andrew Jackson Middle School teacher Alexandria Wicker has been honored with the Maitland P. Simmons Memorial Award for New Teachers from the National Science Teachers Association. Wicker is a seventh-grade science teacher at Andrew Jackson Middle School and was awarded the Teacher of the Year Award in 2022.
Brianna Wise, a 2017 alumna of Ferris State University’s Teacher Education program, was recently selected as one of 17 recipients of the Maitland P. Simmons Memorial Award for New Teachers.
Deadlines are nearing for 15 awards and grants from the National Science Teacher Association for K–12 teachers and students in the sciences.
