CSPAN2 Book Discussion On Broadcast Hysteria September 4, 2015

Said that is kind of a valid peemack. A valid point. You only have this one example. Literally thats all i could find any spent weeks combing through the records and digging in looking and those with aa little examples that were cited that were written down. Who knows what was really going on. Okay. Good evening. Ii enjoyed the excerpt. One of the things that jumped out at me was the officer who said to paul, some of these guys or whatever, these guys are never going to like you because you are too proud of being black. That really jumped out at me. When you think about the fire department, here with the fire department, one of the things you care about is the brotherhood, about how tight the guys are and how offduty the guys are hanging out. You know, it kind of makes sense. You know, it kind of makes sense. If you are going into a dangerous situation that that could create a bond. What could you say about the brotherhood despite you being a proud member and someone who represents thi ....

CSPAN2 Key Capitol Hill Hearings December 19, 2014

The orion and sls the vanguard of the program are the key to advancing these interests. I look forward to hearing from mr. Gerstenmaier and ms. Chaplain about the challenges and opportunities facing these important programs. I now recognize the Ranking Member from maryland. Its been a good morning to the witnesses. I want to join the chair man in congratulating nasa, lockheed, United Launch Alliance and the Contractor Team on conducting the exploration test of the orion capsule last week and i think that it was exciting and i know that around the country and around the world there were many of us working on Solution Division for the first time in a long time at the u. S. Space program that is very forwardlooking. They are below the orbits to test and ver ....

Period. The are russians have flown ons. Several yearlong missions. Its but if we look at the tools wih weve got today we can see if ht theres anything in the human system, to see if there is that something that degrades that hasnt reached study grade in terms of human degradation in keeping humans alive. How important is it to simulate a mars mission in lower earth orbit that way, and how close do you have to make it to a real mars mission to be a ma value . Do you build i n the to communication delay, do you block the windows, so they dont get to look at earth . How do you design Something Like that . Its interesting, we talked o about that. We do some things now, we do o were doing a lot of procedures, now aboard the station that are autonomous. Where the crews do the operatioe without any ground involvement. That was geared specifically do towards the mars environment where the time delay doesnt it. Allow the ground team to oe ....

One way to look at it, apollo 13 with the event that it had. I believe that was around 84 hours. We had to keep the crew alive for 84 hours. So we had life support systems, if youre going to go to mars that have to work for months, possibly over a year, depending on how long it takes you to get there and how long you stay. We have to take the steps to get that in place. Its going to take some time to get a reliable system in place. We can land a metric ton on the surface of mars, thats all we know how to do. Thats about the size of a mini cooper car. If were going to explore mars, it needs to be something bigger than that. There are challenges that we have, we know what the challenges are, but it will take some time to get those technologies ready. Have you counted up how many breakthroughs you think you need to get there . We ought to talk about it a little bit. Im not sure theyre breakthroughs in a sense. If we can build on what we know now today, and just expangd it. For example lif ....
