Whammyhis is a triple for a lot of these industrial companies. The stock market crashed affected in a very bad way. A lot of their investments and demands are low for a lot of these drivers of the old economy. You want the valuation coming home to roost. A lot of these companies had lending denominated in dollars. Their debt becomes more expensive. You are seeing a confluence of factors and the data showing how hard it is heading chinas industrial companies. Manus where we see that evidence. If we look at the broader economy, we have had a raft of measures. Drawing conclusions about where we are, whether it is a hysterical slowdown. Or whether it is going to be a glide lower.
Is the fact that the green natural hue has been carved in a cameo design. So it highlights the mountain peak, shown at the top, the pine and tree blossoms, the highly reliefed, carved pine tree issuing from the rock work at the base. So what theyve done is incorporate the natural features of the stone, or slate, to show a cameo effect. Its been mounted with iron painting hooks. However, it was never meant to be hung on a wall. It would have been on a reticulated bracket base, and stood 24 inches tall or so. The reason this is quite an unusual example is the fact that its a large piece of carved slate. Most duan examples are small inkstones. The carvings very, very highly worked, so its a good quarterinch off the base of the stone. Ten years ago, this would have been worth between 800 and 1,000 at auction. All right. However, chinas just become the second largest economy after america. And its kind of, i would think, an early transformer. This was probably done around 1910. There was a very Famous Artist that made these. His name was bergman. And he did largescale sculptures. But he always signed his small naughty bronzes, namgreb, which is bergman spelled backwards. Oh. And he always signed his pieces. This piece does not
