Just coming in right now. The Federal Reserve has announced a half a point. That was not the most expected. Most of what i read was a Quarter Point expected. It was a toss up, and really heres the thing, the Federal Reserve raised Interest Rates to get inflation down. The more recent readings we have gotten on the economy the last six weeks since the last time they announced decision is pointing to a weakness in the labor department. To cut into unemployment and make more people get out of jobs or increase unemployment further, well, thats the reason why they wanted to dramatically cut Interest Rates. They decided to do so by half a Percentage Point. Economic activity has continued to expand at a solid pace. Job gains have slowed. Well have to see what Fed Chair Jerome powell says to explain cutting Interest Rates by a Half Point. Im going to ask the Control Room if we can get a ticker and keep an eye on whats going on with the stock market. Its going wild . There we go. Ran insana, th

Moment and explain the balance this amendment achieves. Encryption technologies are critical tools for protecting privacy and the individuals personal information. At the same time, Law Enforcement and intelligence professionals need access to information to keep our country safe. As well as a parent the apple versus the fbi case, encryption, in that case of a device addressed, and in the context of data in motion, can be an impediment to Law Enforcement obtaining the information it needs. And we recognize this is a difficult balance, in the middle of a conversation were having among ourselves, including in this room. And we believe, as this amendment suggests, the best way forward is through a commission on Digital Security that brings together Law Enforcement, security personnel, experts in technology from silicon valley, to weigh the best way forward. This commission would propose solutions that both protect very important individual private also givingwhile Law Enforcement and inte
American technology, and millions of American Workers to do it with. Now, what do the republicans propose . Basically, their Energy Program has two parts. The first part is to get rid of almost everything that weve done for the American Public in the last 3 years. They want to reduce or abolish the Synthetic Fuels program. They want to slash the solar energy incentives, the conservation programs, aid to mass transit, aid to elderly americans to help pay their fuel bills. They want to eliminate the 55 mile speed limit. And while they are at it, the republicans would like to gut the clean air act. They never liked it to begin with. Thats one part of their program; the other part is worse. To replace what we have built, this is what they propose to destroy the windfall profits tax and to unleash the Oil Companies and let them solve the Energy Problem for us. Thats it. That is it. Thats their whole program. There is no more. Can this nation accept such an outrageous program . No we democra
