Subways at all. I guess the only way to fix this problem is to hire another irs perhaps to police them. An iirs. Perhaps we need an iiirs and an iv. [ laughter ] pretty soon were all just part of a nesting doll of oversight, paranoia and suspicious, each of us investigating the next to infinity when it turns out weve really just been investigating ourselves the whole time. [laughter] maybe then we realize right and wrong are just two sides of the same coin we call the universe or did i just blow your mind . [laughter] yeah, probably not. You know, can i always do that, by the way. [ laughter ] always a camera with a psychedelic background. Well move on to the Social Security administration where the irs has been somewhat lax, Social Security has been too vigilant. Some taxpayers getting a surprise, money taken out of their tax refunds to pay debts their parents owed. Jon oh, like raising me to be afraid to love wasnt punishment enough. [laughter] jon now the government is going to come
Meteorologist michael schlacter. Good to see you. What is puerto rico looking at, what is the region looking at . Jose hit barbuda and lesser antilles. Neil what is left of barbuda at this point . Unfortunate desolate situation. Guadalupe and dominica got direct hits on its way to the British Virgin island and probably direct hit on puerto rico. Could be worst ever. The benchmark for the puerto rico is the 1928 lake oak hurricane that went through that as category five lake okeechobee hurricane. Neil continental United States, youre getting close to the neck of the woods, or what. Weve been warning entire century last 17 years, we saw it with irma and jose, a lot of strong hurricanes build ridges to the north, force themselves a little further west than computer models like to see. I wouldnt write this off out to sea just yet. People in turks and caicos, bahamas, east coast, need to watch this until it gets 7 or eight days. Neil southern florida, gulf region, so far . Nothing is off th
Tell us where they are today. The republicans, yeah. The republicans had 179 seats at the beginning of the obama administration. They are up to, if you look at current leads at 251, some of those leads may evaporate as california in particular takes a long time to vote to count its votes. They theyve taken as long as five weeks. A week ago sunday, brazil tabulates the votes in five hours. In california, which believes itself to be a more advanced state takes five weeks. In any case, it appears that republicans have won more than the 234. They won it in 2012, more than the 242, they won in 2010. And almost certainly more than the 246, they won in 1946. You have to go back to the 1928 cycle to find a time when republicans did better in house elections. Norm was covering that for cbs radio. And thats thats there. Its, you know, part of this is baked into the cake by demographics. You know, in 2016, 2012, mitt romney who many of you will remember carried 226 house districts, carried a majo
Have a majority and they were the shareholders in government so you participate sometimes and theyve become oneparty voters. Our system is almost parliamentary today in terms of voting blue and voting red. They used to vote for the name on the back of the jersey. Ow they vote for the jersey. Its the best way to put it so what happens and they come to washington they behave like a Parliament System so instead of the Minority Party or the Opposition Party and to say no to everything and thats got to be broken, so the good news coming out of the elections on tuesday we have three states now that have runoffs with the top two from the primaries. Two democrats, two republicans, california, louisiana, washington state. They tested 21. So there is some movement out there even in the state democratic districts or are some republicans we have to cater to. My plan is that it gets people to vote on occasion instead of having to just stay and be punished in the primary. And until you break that i
Would be certainly the likely candidate. But the other thing is perhaps there was a report a couple weeks ago about the potential Lindsey Graham for 2016. He was bored. But to the point of there will be sort of this jocking for a position on Foreign Policy matters. And senator graham from South Carolina who david mentioned had really not erased for his own reelection. Hes certainly in this camp with mccain,. Rubio seems to be in that group. Im interested to watch is what the senator from New Hampshire is who is up in 2016. And New Hampshire was the one place on the senate map where there was a close contested race that was supposed to be a close contested race and the democrat held on. Scott brown is not returning to the senate. Senator shaheen won reelection. Shes always with mccain or often with mccain and graham on that sort of thing and shell be an interesting one to watch there to. The three amigos. I think mccain tweeted out there will be a new member of he amigos. The isis threa
