US President Joe Biden and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi have strengthened their strategic partnership through the signing of several major deals during Modi's historic state visit. The two leaders discussed ways to expand educational exchanges, workforce development and people-to-people ties, as well as collaborate on tackling common challenges ranging from climate change to healthcare.
Former Indian ambassador to the US, Harsh Vardhan Shringla, has stated that the visit of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to the US has strengthened strategic relations between the two nations. Major companies are committed to multi-billion dollar investments in India's technology. Shringla said that the Indian diaspora plays a significant role in driving the Indo-US relationship.
"America's new consulates will be opened in Bengaluru and Ahmedabad. It has now been decided that the H1B visa renewal can be done in the US itself," PM Modi said while addressing the Indian diaspora at the Ronald Reagan Building in Washington DC.
