National Burrito Day is celebrated annually on the first Thursday in April and National Today describes the day as "the perfect opportunity to fill your hungry belly with your favorite Mexican flavors."

Chipotle is encouraging fans to carry out a mock “chiptocurrency” rescue mission and crack the code on its digital wallet. The challenge opens April 1 at 12:00 p.m. ET and closes at 9:00 p.m. ET. BRIDGEPORT — Before the coronavirus forced many to work from home, Val Fernandes counted some People’s United Financial employees among the lunchtime customers at his Funchal Americana restaurant downtown.
Still, Fernandes said, if People’s Main Street tower headquarters did not have its own private cafeteria, he would likely feed many more of the company’s staff of 1,350.
When M&T Bank announced its acquisition of People’s last month, many in the area reflected on the significant positive impact the latter institution has had on Bridgeport’s economy and community over the decades.

Berkeley institution Moe's Books, one of the few remaining classic used bookstores in the city, has voted to unionize, citing "many incidents" of unsafe COVID-19 protocols in the store.
According to a press release issued by the union workers, there was "almost unanimous support" for organizing and joining the Industrial Workers of the World. On March 9, they say their union, Moe's Books Workers, was recognized by Doris Moskowitz, the store's owner.
"Over the past year, there have been many incidents where employees and valued Moe’s customers were put in danger by poor safety protocol," a statement from Moe's Books Workers reads. "When staff members advocated for the safety of themselves and others, they were often ignored and even retaliated against.
