they covered the leg with the towel. the coverage didn t show any closeups. josh elliott watching the game when it happened. kevin ware, contesting an outside shot in front of his own team s bench. landed awkwardly. suffered an injury. that reports say left his shin bone clearly protruding from his leg. while ware was laying on the floor, he had one request. it wasn t for himself. coach pitino made sure the entire team heard it. he said to me five times, i m okay. just win the game. i got everybody over after we covered up the injury. i said, listen to him. he said it over ten times just win the game, i ll be okay. and they delivered. his sister tweeted the photo, him with the midwest regional trophy. his team won the victory over duke. school officials say he s recovering after a successful surgery on the broken leg. another disturbing story. the murder of a texas district attorney and his wife gunned down in their own home. what has the law enforcement community across the state on edge. the d.a. is the second prosecutor there to be killed. abc s john schriffen has the story. reporter: shortly after 6:00 saturday night, a 911 call came in. it was a brazen attack. according to the abc affiliate, wfaa, sources say the couple s door had been kicked in, roughly 14 rounds fired from a high-powered assault rifle. the district attorney found in the hallway. his wife by the front door. we have never had anything like this happen before and for it to happen so close to home, it s very, very scary. reporter: it comes just two months after his assistant district attorney, mark hassey, was gunned down in broad daylight, steps from the courthouse. at the time, mclelland vowed justice. we re going to pull you out of whatever hole you re in. we re going to prosecute to the fullest extent of the law. reporter: in the weeks following, he s had security following him around. are the high-profile murders connected? i can t say that. we have nothing indicating that for sure. reporter: texas district attorneys had been warned late last year that another white supremacist group, aryan brotherhood of texas, could seek revenge. if you knew something and you came forward, you can t go back to what you were before. you have to change who you are, what you do, where you live. reporter: that s why the reward is so high?
