washington to fight for an extension. pass it now chanted a group of out of work americans at a rally on wednesday. one of those in the crowd is michael taylor, an electrician who was laid off a little more than a year ago. i ve exhausted just about every option i possibly can. reporter: taylor says he ll lose his home and won t know where to turn when his last check arrives in seven weeks. he says he wants to work, but the offers he gets just don t cut it. the few bites i have gotten, a lot of them are less than what unemployment is paying, so there s not a whole lot out there right now. reporter: many republicans are against extending benefits, because they say they just don t want to add to the national debt. some have said giving unemployed americans these benefits over such a long period keeps them from going out and looking for a job. something house speaker nancy pelosi directly addressed. does anybody here want a job? yeah. i think so. tell the r ....
