Roaches, rates among reasons 5 Central Florida restaurants shut down last week

Five restaurants had either roach or rat problems that led to their shutdown in the week of March 26-31, according to data from the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation.

If ever there was a year that felt like it should have been narrated by Rod Serling, 2020 was it. For many, it felt like a Twilight Zone episode, forcing us to abandoned beloved traditions, isolate from family members, and wear masks out of the house, in order to outrun a deadly virus
Life began as normal January 1st. We went about our lives, hitting the gym for those new years resolutions, going out to dinner, to concerts, shopping....not knowing at the time we'd soon long to do those things we'd previously taken for granted. A month prior, in December, the first case of COVID-19 had surfaced in China. Seemingly insulated by oceans and continents, we watched a virus that seemed a world away...until it wasn't
