Cow found on I-16 is adopted by New Jersey farm and rescue

The Savannah Police Department said goodbye to a cow found wandering on Interstate-16 last month. Named LEOna by the Savannah Police Department, the cow headed off to her forever home, according to a press release from the SPD. LEOna was adopted by Skylands Animal Farm & Rescue in New Jersey after the SPD was unable to find LEOna's owner. LEOna, who is estimated to be about 1 to 1 ½ years old, was living out at SPD’s stables off of Dean Forest Road with the Mounted Unit, according to the SPD.
