Madison County has seen an increase in the 7-day rolling positivity rate over the last two weeks as it expands the availability of the vaccine for teens and adults. Vaccination count now near 140,000 Ron DeBrock, ronald.debrock@thetelegraph.com FacebookTwitterEmail WOOD RIVER Nearly 140,000 COVID-19 vaccinations now have been administered in Madison County, according to the Illinois Department of Public Health. The IDPH on Monday reported a total of 138,848 COVID-19 vaccinations so far have been administered in Madison County. That included 79,954 first doses and 58,894 or 22.27% of the county’s population now fully vaccinated. The Madison County Health Department has said the actual numbers for both vaccination categories are higher than the IDPH figures. The county this week is expanding COVID-19 vaccinations opportunities.
