For an example, look no further than Georgetown University.
As indicated by a Thursday email obtained by The Washington Free Beacon, the college’s top-rated law school is raising the bar where transgender support is concerned.
Per the Beacon, the Student Bar Association asked students to make clear their preferred pronouns on LinkedIn, Zoom, and in their individual email signatures.
For those disinterested, the Association made a request: Stand “in solidarity and support” of your “nonbinary” and transgender peers by listing your pronouns. ....

Trans YOUniting held a candlelight vigil on Sun., Feb. 28 outside the City County Building to honor four lives that were lost in the past two weeks. Four trans people of color have died in Western Pennsylvania in February, three of whom were killed within one week. Chyna Carrillo was killed in Lawrence County, an hour north of Pittsburgh, on Feb. 18, and siblings Jasmine Cannady and Jeffrey “JJ” Bright were killed in Ambridge, just 30 minutes from the city, on Feb. 22. Audura Belle also died earlier this month due to lack of health care, according to statements from her friends and family. ....

Comedian Shirelle Kinder, seen here at Comedy @ the Carlson, says she hasn t performed stand-up since the pandemic took hold. A year ago February, things were clicking for comedian Shirelle Kinder.
That month, she had achieved her goal of performing in New York City when she was featured at the “All Black Everything” comedy showcase. She shared a stage with rising stars Jay Jurden and Opeyemi Olagbaju. She received positive feedback and made connections.
“I was so excited,” said Kinder, who lives in Rochester. “And then the world closed down.”
Kinder hasn’t done stand-up since the pandemic took hold. First, the clubs closed down. Then, she was unable to translate her brand of comedy to the virtual space. After a while, the events of the last year took a toll, even on someone who trades in levi ....
