Local high schools return to in-person graduation ceremonies this year

High school students will be able to attend in-person graduation ceremonies this year, after the COVID-19 pandemic canceled last year's gatherings.
Clarke Central High School and Cedar Shoals High School will hold graduations in their football stadiums — Cedar Shoals' on May 21 at 10 a.m.; Clarke Central's on May 22 at 10 a.m.
The ceremonies will not require tickets and there is no limit on how many family members can attend the outdoor events. But masking and social distancing will be required.
In case of inclement weather, the ceremonies will be moved inside and each student provided two tickets.
Class City High School will hold ceremonies May 21 at 2 p.m. in the Cedar Shoals gymnasium.
