the gulf countries, israel to stop the work that they are doing outside of the nuclear program. >> ayman mohyeldin, let me ask you about that because a lot of people would say there are issues with this nuclear agreement, but then behind the scenes oil profits are a big issue. and when the sanctions are lifted, iran will get back into the oil production business and there are major oil-producing states that are against this. they'd like to keep the iranian oil out of the marketplace. what are you hearing from sources, what do you know from your knowledge of the region that that's really the big concern, that they will be financed to be able to get back into the terrorism business better than ever? >> well, you know, one of the most interesting headlines that i've seen in the past 24 hours referred to the biggest winner in the iran nuclear deal as being syria's president, bashar al assad. he is going to benefit tremendously from an influx of cash in iran and that is if iran is able to benefit from its own
atlantic. everybody is shaking their heads at me. go ahead. >> well, there's a lot of -- you talk to people who are in the oil production business they'd like to explore a lot of places they are not currently permitted to explore and, it's a huge commodity and yet it's not clear that is why oil prices are up, there is huge commodity inflation thanks to the fed's monetary policy and part of that is oil price inflation and, you know, i think we shouldn't overreact. it is a huge issue, july, august, 2008 and by election date, drill, baby drill was not carrying a lot of states for john mccain and i'm not sure people, republicans would be wise to demagogue, frankly, gas prices, i think they can make a broader case inflation is on the way and gas prices are a leading indicator of that. >> chris: jeff. >> it will be interesting see as gas prices remain a central political issue over the summer. they will not go down soon, see what the president suz short-term and when he was a presidential candidate, he opposed an increase in the gas
