Cunningham Hurdles Back Onto The Bowerman Watch List

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. –
Florida State senior Trey Cunningham was named to The Bowerman 2021 Men’s Pre-Conference Championships Watch List, announced by the U.S. Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCA). The hurdler is one of ten student-athletes named to the updated list and he is making his seventh appearance on the Bowerman Award Watch List after spending a brief time off the list in the last announcement.
Cunningham returns to the watch list following his record-breaking performance at the Tom Jones Memorial Invitational just a few weeks ago in Gainesville, Fla. His 110-meter hurdles personal best time of 13.28 took second overall but first collegiate as Olympian Grant Holloway won the event with the fastest time in the world so far with a 13.07. ....

Florida State Finishes Tom Jones Invite With Unbelievable Performances

GAINESVILLE, Fla. –
The Florida State Track and Field team put on a show during day two of this year’s Tom Jones Memorial Invitational, which was highlighted by performances from Jo’Vaughn Martin and Trey Cunningham inside Percy Beard Track at James G. Pressly Stadium.
“We had an unbelievable day today at the Tom Jones meet!” said Head Coach Bob Braman. “I’m so proud of how they dealt with 2 days of rain delays and kept their composure. And to then do so many things on the National level is incredible.”
The most newsworthy of the Seminoles performances was Martin’s astonishing time of 9.94 in the men’s 100 meters. The Houston, Texas native not only recorded a personal best but also his time is currently the world lead, NCAA lead, ACC lead and No. 3 on FSU’s All-Time Top 10 list. ....
