牛津大学新型HIV候选疫苗，会成为艾滋疫苗新突破吗？

据中国疾控中心、联合国艾滋病规划署、世界卫生组织联合评估，截至2018年底，我国估计存活艾滋病感染者约125万，估计新发感染者每年8万例左右。
尽管对于目前来说，只要按时吃药，95%以上的患者都能存活，曾经的“超级癌症”，已不再是不治之症。但是，艾滋病作为一种慢性传染病，疫苗才是预防HIV扩散的根本手段。
就艾滋疫苗研发的困难性而言，一方面，HIV 带来的挑战之一是感染会导致原病毒基因组稳定整合到宿主染色体中。现有的许多疫苗（包括新冠疫苗在内）也并不能100%完全预防感染，但它们能够最大程度地限制病毒的复制，以及防止感染后造成的机体损伤和临床症状。但这种策略却在HIV病毒上失去效果。
另一方面，HIV病毒具有高度变异性，能够不断产生新的变异株，以躲避机体免疫系统的“侦察”——HIV作为一种逆转录病毒，带有的逆转录酶极易出错，导致HIV 表现出极端的遗传多样性。
相比于每个季节都会出现的季节性流感病毒来说，HIV在单个感染者体内的变异造成的病毒多样性比流感病毒整个季节的全球流感变异造成的多样性都要强。尽管艾滋疫苗的研发，面临诸多困难，但依旧取得了不小的成果。
比如，牛津大学本周开始对一种新型HIV候选疫苗进行接种，作为英国一期临床试验的一部分。这项被称为HIV-CORE 0052的试验的目的是评估HIVconsvX疫苗的安全性、耐受性和免疫原性——这是一种针对广泛的HIV-1变体的混合疫苗，使其有可能适用于任何地理区域的HIV菌株。
此次实验中，13名健康的、HIV阴性的成年人，年龄在18-65岁，被认为没有感染的高风险，最初将接种一剂疫苗，然后在四周后再接种一剂加强针。
