"In December, we learned of a hunger strike in the Santa Cruz County main jail," writes Susan Kohen, Pam Sexton and Erin Wood in a Guest Coomentary. "Due to intolerable conditions, nine men awaiting trial started a hunger strike on Nov. 8. Five remained on strike for nearly a month."
A celebration of life for Richard N. Price, 76, of Dickinson will be 4:00 pm Friday, December 30, 2022 at Stevenson Funeral Home in Dickinson with Pastor Lisa Lewton officiating. A sharing of memories with friends will follow the service. Burial will take place in Dickinson Cemetery at a later date.
