Former Hawaiʻi Congresswoman Patsy Mink co-authored the landmark Title IX of the U.S. Educational Amendments of 1972 legislation.
There was a proposed change to Title IX called “The Casey Amendment,” which would have gutted critical verbiage, changing the outcome of funding to women’s athletic programs.
