Starting on June 5th, there will be a benefit concert series that runs the entire course of the summer. The best part? Every concert will be on a Saturday night!
Music at Wellington Square Courtyard benefits Amarillo native JoeBob McCartt who passed away due to COVID-19 complications back in December 2020. The lineup will feature a myriad of performers from several different genres. The primary genre will be jazz, but there will be some blues and big band as well.
Monthly jazz concert series finds home at Six Car Pub & Brewery
Starting Thursday, the Amarillo Symphony and Chamber Music Amarillo will be bringing jazz downtown every month through September at Six Car Pub & Brewery.
The Yellow Rose Jazz concert series will kick off at 6 p.m. Thursday with Polk Street Jazz on the patio at Six Car Pub & Brewery off of Polk Street. The concert series will continue through the summer with various jazz ensembles.
The schedule for the Yellow Rose Jazz concert series is as follows:
• June 24: The James Barger Quartet
• July 15: The Bevan Manson Trio
• August 19: The Jim Laughlin Quartet
