>> i think we will see one soon. the district attorney has sort of put her security partners on high alert, she's put her core partners on high alert. the window for when we think she will make announcements would open on monday, july 31st. i would be surprised if we see something from them next week. i think they're still getting organized according to my sources. i do think unless something goes wrong with this case we will see an announcement from fani willis in fulton county probably in early august about whether donald trump or any of his allies or multiple people could face charges in this investigation. >> she has been investigating this and you have been following every single bit of news for two and a half years. there's been a lot of talk about how she's prosecuted other famous people in georgia on rico charges. why has this taken so long to come together, do you think? >> i think the fact that she's looking at a potential racketeering and conspiracy case is part of it and just in digging into this, and you will see this in the documentary,
until they were told to stand down. the american people are going to get to watch live both whistleblowers including whistleblower x who has never revealed his identity. he'll do that the day of our hearing and everyone can see, hopefully fox will being covering that, sean, and we have specific substantive questions about many of these wires, about many of these shell companies, about potential money laundering, about potential racketeering, and i believe that these two witnesses are going to be able to anchor those questions. so many times, sean, you have these congressional hearings, and, you know, they are all hat and no paddle. you don't learn anything new and they aren't substantive. this should be a very substantive, informative hearing for the american people and this will be the first time the american people actually hear credible witnesses say under oath exactly what crimes have been committed by the biden family. >> sean: do you have standing to go before the judge?
three weeks of august, she sent smoke signals that that is likely to be the case. we know she's looking at a potential racketeering or conspiracy case. that could be the type of thing where we could see charges against the former president, also charges against folks in georgia or other advisers to donald trump who participated in these efforts to overturn the 2020 election there. we could be talking about multiple defendants in that case. >> kara, i want to bring knew the conversation, yesterday a federal judge ruling that e. jean carroll could amend her defamation lawsuit. >> there were two lawsuits, the first in 2019 that was put on hold and then there was the second lawsuit where the jury actually heard that case, found in favor of carroll and found that trump had sexually abused and defamed her. it was one day after that jury verdict that trump was at the cnn town hall and he repeated some of the statements that that jury found to be defamatory. so she had asked the judge, hey, i want to add this to my first lawsuit under the column of punitive damages. so if that case were to go to

what would the time line be, expected time line given your experience given the next step you just described to make that decision? >> so there are various georgia state laws that could be in play here. first of all, relating to interference of the election. it is against the law in georgia to ask any official to count votes that were not cast to not count votes that were cast, or to falsely certify the outcome of an election. of course we all think back to donald trump's january 2nd, 20 12u call to georgia secretary of state brad raffensperger to find 11,780 votes and we could see recommended charges relating to false statements relating to the false elector scheme and also there has been some reporting about potential racketeering charges which essentially means some sort of organized group that committed a series of crimes. in terms of timing, jim, it is hard to say. prosecutors could go into a grand jury and they could present evidence in summary fashion. so they could move fairly
lawmakers but now she is interested in, for instance, the interference in southern georgia, and we know she has expanded it to potentially looking into inquiries from what we have heard, into potential racketeering charges. that is then been an interesting situation, given her comments, in concert with the comments she told us, in the interview. >> there's a big question about whether she is going to call in former president trump to testify and she tells you, and i want to quote here, she says a decision is going to have to be made, she says and i imagine it is going to be made late this fall, which to me, like i don't want to reiterate but to me late this fall reads after the midterms, right? i guess you can consider late fall to before the midterms and talk about the thinking before that timing. >> definitely. so it is very important to note that she has put a restraint on herself here, that says if she is not going to continue the investigation after october 7th, until after the midterms, so from october 7th to november 9th, she is sufgd the calling of witnesses, the issues of
