Both passengers in the back of a car that crashed into a tree in unicorporated Contra Costa County sunday morning. The california Highway Patrol says the 16yearold girl behind the wheel says she fell asleep if just before slamming into the tree on Franklin Canyon road at 60 miles per hour. And breaking overnight, a motorcyclist is hospitalized after colliding with a Pinellas Deputys car. This happened as the deputy was pulling out of a Dunkin Donuts parking lot in the 6100 block of Martin Luther king street north in st. Petersburg. The motorcyclist tried to stop but ended up sliding into the side of the deputys unmarked car. The deputy was not hurt. The motorcyclist was rushed to the hospital with life threatening injuries.
