An
arrested his wife and 20-year-old son for arranging the murder of Mahamed Hanzala, in
Hegganahalli.
Sarvari Begum, 42, her
son Shafir Rahman, 20 and three youths, Aftab, 21, Mohammed Saif, 20 and Syed Avez, 23.
Police said that the mother and son laced six sleeping pills in the dinner and offered it to the deceased, Mohamed Hanzala, 52, on February 9. Soon after Hanzala went to sleep, the accused called the other three accused, who came over at around 3. 30 am and smothered Hanzala to death using a pillow.
The next morning, Sarvari announced her husband’s death citing cardiac arrest and buried the body in Thigalarapalya burial ground.

A 27-year-old man was murdered by his brother-in-law and relatives of his wife a day before his
birthday in front of his house in
Laggere on Tuesday. His wife’s family had called him under the pretext of wishing him.
The deceased has been identified as N Chetan, a resident of Laggere and an electrician. Chetan was married to Bhumika, from Kunigal in Tumkuru, just two months ago. The police have detained the suspects, Bhumika’s younger brother Akash Kumar, 19, a cab driver, her uncle, Nanjesh, 58, an assistant in a hotel and her first cousin, Dilip, 20, a flower vendor. Police said that Bhumika was in love with Chetan but her parents did not approve of their marriage.
