Janet Jackson's brothers praise Justin Timberlake for apology

Janet Jackson's brothers say Justin Timberlake's apology "means a lot".
The 'SexyBack' hitmaker issued a lengthy statement addressing his past conduct, in particular around his ex-girlfriend Britney Spears, and also to the 54-year-old singer, whose breast he accidentally exposed during their infamous Super Bowl Halftime Show in 2004.
Although Janet hasn't issued a response to Justin's statement, her siblings Tito, Marlon and Jackie praised him for speaking out but insisted it's time to move on from the incident.
Speaking to Andy Cohen on his SiriusXM show, Marlon said: "You know, it takes a man to step up and do that, so we do thank him for doing that.

Britney Spears' life has become a major point of discussion, ever since the Free Britney movement gained support as fans began to discuss the singer's conservatorship. The New York Times documentary, Framing Britney Spears further took a deeper look at the pop star's career, her imminent rise to fame and her tumultuous fall. While earlier, Spears had shared a post on Instagram, revealing that she only watched parts of the documentary and cried for "two weeks" after that, in her recent post, she was more vocal about what she thought about it.

Singer Britney Spears has criticised recent documentaries about her life, labelling them as "so hypocritical". In recent months, there has been a renewed interest in Spears'' life and career as well as the unfair treatment she received from the press in the US after the release of critically-acclaimed New York Times documentary "Framing Britney Spears". The documentary takes an inside look at the iconic singer's rise to fame, her mid-2000''s struggles, the highly-restrictive conservatorship under her father Jamie Spears, and the #FreeBritney social media movement that arose as a result.
It was followed by BBC’s documentary "The Battle for Britney: Fans, Cash and a Conservatorship", while streamer Netflix is also working on a film on the singer''s life.

Actor-producer Reese Witherspoon says that as a young mother she too was incessantly chased by the paparazzi but the media had arbitrarily decided to brand her ‘good’ and singer Britney Spears ‘bad’.
Witherspoon divorced Ryan Phillippe in 2008. Around the same time, Spears split from Kevin Federline. They both had two young children with paparazzi camping outside their homes. "My children will tell you stories about being in preschool and people climbing on the roofs of our cars," Witherspoon said in a recent interview.

Britney Spears will soon make an appearance before a Los Angeles court to address the conservatorship that controls her career and finances. The 38-year-old pop star is expected to address the court at a June 23 hearing.
At a Tuesday hearing, her attorney, Samuel Ingham, said Spears requested a hearing to "address the court directly" — a request that was granted by Los Angeles Circuit Court Judge Brenda Penny. Ingham did not disclose what Spears plans to say to the court.
This will be the first time since 2019 that Spears will speak in court, The Associated Press reported. Her past comments were not made public.
