Judge considers halting enforcement of Indiana's near-total abortion ban

Judge Kelsey Hanlon of the Owen Circuit Court, a Republican sitting as a special judge in Monroe County, listened to some 75 minutes of oral argument on the issue Monday.
"Planned Parenthood remains fully committed to Indiana. We aren't going anywhere," said Katie Rodihan, Planned Parenthood communications director.
The American Civil Liberties Union claims the new abortion restrictions violate Indiana's Religious Freedom Restoration Act and should not be permitted to take effect Sept. 15.
