Richard M. Kitchen, 96, Dallas, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 27, 2021, at The Meadows Nursing Center, Dallas.
Born in West Pittston, he was the son of the late William and Ida Goodridge Kitchen and was a graduate of West Pittston High School.
He was employed by The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation as a surveyor’s assistant. Richard was a member of The Royal Amity Masonic Lodge #70. Daddow Isaacs American Legion Post 672, Dallas. He had served his country proudly in the Army in World War II as a private first class with the 740th Tank Battalion.
Richard was preceded in death by his wife, the former Ida Goodridge, in 2017; brother, William Kitchen; and a sister, June Kitchen.
