Woman was struck, killed blocks from where husband was hit in 2016
A 63-year-old woman was struck and killed by a car on Wednesday night, blocks away from where her husband was hit and killed five years ago.
Claire E. Weissmeyer Grossmann, of the Aspen Hill neighborhood of Silver Spring, was killed crossing Georgia Avenue near Rippling Brook Drive. [WTOP]

Silver Spring Woman Killed as She Crossed Georgia Avenue
Claire E. Weissmeyeer Grossman, 63, of Silver Spring was pronounced dead at the scene after she was struck by a car as she was crossing northbound Georgia Avenue April 28.
Detectives from the Montgomery County Police Department, Collision Reconstruction Unit, are investigating the collision that took place at 11:02 p.m. by Rippling Brook Drive in Aspen Hill. Preliminary investigation determined that the 2015 Toyota Camry was going north on Georgia Avenue and struck Weissmeyer.
German Alexis Del Cid Mejia, 19, of Rockville was driving the car. He was not injured.
