Who had just defeated hoover in almost a landslide 18 points. Herbert hoover was not happy not just because he lost so badly. Hoover that fdr was an actual madman. And back then election day wasnt until march 4th. President hoover had a full four months as a lame duck president , and he decided to use them to try to get fdr to abandoned the new deal, the plan on which fdr had just won a landslide victory.
