hitting is way up there. that's east. that's where the storm is. we've got a very low tide right now. when the high tide comes in, we'll be way higher than this. without a hurricane you'd have the water coming up at least all the way up here. and if that high tide coincides with some of that surge that's coming in, we've got a high surge that could be upward of nine feet. maybe all the way to 13 feet. you can see the buildings around here generally speaking leave their lower level open for parking. that also allows for the water to get through. so it doesn't do that damage. we're talking about nine feet or higher you might be getting higher than the single story. that's the concern in these low-lying areas of the north carolina and south carolina coast. so the way this storm is looking right now is it is not anywhere close to what we would define as landfall. we're probably still at least 12 hours away from that. but you're seeing those outer bands are hitting on the northern side of north carolina, on the eastern coast of north carolina and that storm might go inward from there. it might go west. it might skirt down this coast. and it could make landfall at
