Douglas Peter Strike pleaded guilty to theft and assault by beating at Basingstoke Magistrates’ Court on Monday. The court was told that Strike, of Junction Road, committed the offences at Marks and Spencers in Tanner Street, Winchester, on April 17. Dangerous Dog An Andover woman has been ordered to muzzle her dog or have it destroyed following an attack in Upper Clatford. Linda Jane Marriott, of Hibiscus Crescent, pleaded guilty to being the owner of a dangerously out of control dog. The dog, a Brindle Podenco called Leire, injured Marcia Johnson on Norman Court Lane in Upper Clatford on January 2, 2021. Basingstoke Magistrates' Court ordered Marriott to muzzle the dog and to always keep it under control on a lead, which must be held by someone who is at least 16 years old.
