Over 15 athletes recorded personal or season bests as the Tigers inch closer to the ACC Indoor Championships. Tallahassee, Fla. – Newcomer Gladys Chepngetich was named ACC Women’s Freshman of the Year and was tabbed to the 2023 All-ACC team alongside junior Sawyer Dagan as the Clemson Tigers complete the conference cross country championship in Tallahassee. “The ACC is a tough conference and I am really proud of how both teams competed today. It was great to see Sawyer grab an All ACC spot and an honor for Gladys as she captured the ACC freshman of the year award,” Head Coach Vicky Pounds said. On the women’s side, Chengetich was the first to cross the line for Clemson as she completed the 6k in 19 minutes and 58 seconds to earn a seventh place overall finish. Being the first true freshman to cross the line in the 6k, Chepngetich was crowned Freshman of the Year for the women.
