SL Squad not infected - Covid free

35 national squad players who were subject to PCR Tests yesterday (10th Feb) have received their results.
SLC cricket announced that all tests have returned negative Covid-19.
This also includes the Coaching Staff, Net Bowlers, and the HPC Staff.
The players were part of the provisional squad who were preparing to take part in the Tour of West Indies.
However, training was halted last week, following Head Coach Mickey Arthur and Sri Lanka Player Lahiru Thirimanne tested Positive for Covid-19.
The players will return to action tomorrow (12th February) with a ‘Fitness Test’ scheduled to ascertain their fitness levels. ....

White House COVID-19 official to meet with airline CEOs Friday: sources

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The chief executives of major U.S. airlines are scheduled to meet virtually on Friday with the White House s COVID-19 response coordinator to discuss a number of travel-related issues, three people briefed on the matter told Reuters on Wednesday.
The meeting with coronavirus response coordinator Jeff Zients and other administration officials involved in COVID-19 issues comes as airlines, aviation unions and other industry groups have strongly objected to the possibility of requiring predeparture COVID-19 testing before domestic flights.
The White House declined to comment, and major airlines declined or did not respond to requests for comment. The three people spoke on condition of anonymity because the meeting has not been made public. ....

Sri Lanka Cricket has been summoned before the Committee on Public Enterprises (COPE) tomorrow (11), Chairman Prof. Charitha Herath said.
The Auditor General s report on the financial years 2017 and 2018 of Sri Lanka Cricket and its performance will be reviewed at the COPE meeting scheduled to meet in Parliament tomorrow (11) at 02:00 p.m.
Meanwhile, it was revealed in Parliament yesterday that SLC has not yet received all the payments due for the recent Lanka Premier League cricket tournament.
This was stated by the Minister of Sports Namal Rajapaksa while answering a question raised by MP Buddhika Pathirana regarding the relevant payments. ....
