griff: the starliner launch delayed at least 24 hours but yet they never set back in a crucial moment. fox news live. alicia i am alicia acuna acuna you. under four minutes to the launch suddenly delayed over a technical issue. let s go live to the kennedy space center with what we are learning at this hour. . it turns out this was an automated hold. generated by a computer analyzing the very dynamic conditions on the atlas five rocket in the minutes before launch. looking at supercold liquid oxygen and liquid hydrogen used as the oxidizer in the propellant in the launch. they have to be absolutely perfect conditions. if anything goes wrong even a software glitch the computer shuts it down. the launch is on hold. engineers are now trying to get to the bottom of exactly what spooked the computer and what went wrong to cause the automated trigger. astronauts are safe. cruise help them to exit the spacecraft. basically doing in reverse what they did several hours e ....

breaking news hello everyone. thanks for joining me on. alison chemla, radha, and for fredricka whitfield, we have an exciting program for you today because within the next half an hour, we expect to witness the first ever boeing starliner spacecraft launched from cape canaveral, florida to the international space station. this is not a practice run this its launch has to american astronauts on board but officials and spectators are holding their breath a bit because this mission was already postponed a few times, veteran nasa astronauts, butch wilmore and suni williams are on board. and boeing is trying with this to compete with its rivals space x as nasa tries to collaborate with private industry partners. if successful, suni williams would become the first woman aboard any crewed test flight like this years of work has gone into this moment and it has not been without setbacks, as i ve mentioned. so let s bring in space and defense correspondent kristin fishe ....
