difference from the cbo estimate. >> if they have to estimate what's put in front of them and that's this bill put in front of them with all these budget gimmicks and smoke and mirrors. >> that shep is, a key battleground in this state. >> shepard: they keep talking about budget deficits and smoke and mirrors. do we have examples on. this yeah. there are some examples. for instance, when they were originally looking on the bill it looked too expensive so democrats stripped out part of the bill. the one that would have prevented steep cuts in fees to doctors who treat medicare patients. but that was then passed separately, outside the health care bill, adding $200 billion to the deficit but making the law look -- look less expensive on paper. but not in reality. now, shep, late today, the cbo released some new numbers, saying that the health care bill, health care law would, in fact, reduce the deficit by $230 billion if you go out to 2021. but only because it raises taxes
>> shepard: the new twist tonight in the search for a missing 13-year-old cheerleader from texas. the girl's mother now says that both she, the mother, and her boyfriend, failed polygraph tests. but she claims that sleep medication affected those results. the cops say haley dunn disappeared more than a week ago reportedly are a she told her mom's boyfriend she was spending a night at the friend's house. she didn't go to the friend's house and she hasn't been there since. now we're learning the fact that the friend never even invited her over and had no idea she was going to be come at all that they never made any plans at all. investigators and rescue teams searching a wooded area along the river for any sign of the 13-year-old girl. but officials say they cannot issue a statewide amber alert because there is not enough information on the case and frankly no physical evidence to suggest that she has been abducted or anything else. trace gallagher with the news live for us tonight. trace, what's the latest on this search efforts here? >> well, not only, shep, are they searching those wooded areas in along the river. they are now canvassing haley's

are not saying much of anything. we have confirmed that the package today was addressed to janet napolitano, the homeland security secretary. doug mckelway is live in washington with more about this. doug, what do we know about the package today? >> well, we're getting a further description of exactly what these things look like. shep, i was speaking to you early this afternoon from pikesville, maryland when we thought this thing was limited to just two instances of incendiary packages. at that time the maryland state police superintendent offered this description of those two boxes at the time. they are both white. they were 7 inches long by 4 inches wide by about 1 inch deep. now, we don't know today whether that's the dimensions of the box that exploded here. but it certainly sounds very much -- i shouldn't have exploded, ignited here but sounds very much like that. shep. we also know that those two containers that ignited yesterday contained this letter. we'll put it up on the screen here for you.
