3 later this morning fire investigators will return to the scene of a workshop fire that broke out late last night in buncombe county. Firefighters remained at the workshop on shope creek road until well after three this morning. The riceville fire chief tells us no one was inside when the flames broke out just after 10 last night. Right now there is no word as to what caused the fire. 3 3 3 macon county is hoping to get help from the state after recent flooding caused more than 700thousand dollars in damage. Preliminary estimates show more than 30 homes and 23 roads were damaged. Officials there have now sent a request for a damage assessment.
