Healthcare assistant Anthony Spence took advantage of mental health patient A WILTSHIRE healthcare assistant who had a sexual relationship with a patient detained under the Mental Health Act has been jailed for five years. Anthony Spence, 39, of Kingsfield Leaze, Bradford on Avon, was sentenced at Salisbury Crown Court yesterday (28/06). He had previously pleaded guilty to two charges of sexual activity with a person with a mental disorder involving care workers. A FORMER Wiltshire Council worker who stole over £11,000 from vulnerable adults has been jailed for 15 months. Amanda Elliott, 49, of West Street in Warminster, worked at Wiltshire Council in its Court of Protection Team supporting vulnerable adults by administering their financial affairs. Between April 2017 and January 2019, she stole £11,028 from eight of her clients to pay off her credit card, settle parking fines and to buy goods.
