Judge rightly slams UF for censoring professors' speech | Editorial - South Florida Sun Sentinel
In ruling against the University of Florida's attempt to bar professors from testifying in a lawsuit against Florida's new election restrictions, U.S. Judge Mark Walker compared the university's actions to those of the University of Hong Kong in removing a memorial to Tiananmen Square protestors to placate the university's communist overlords. We must disabuse ourselves of the notion that authoritarianism cannot flower in the United States, especially when cloaked in the demagoguery of the "free state of Florida."
